Campers love our Early Check In (starting at 9am) and Late Check Out (until 6pm) options. Just $15/campsite/option use – subject to campsite availability. Only available for campsites not Rental RV’s.
booking
You must be at least 25 years old to rent a campsite and must be camping on the site for the whole stay.
Maximum of 4 adults per site. Total people on a site may not exceed 6 people.
Subletting is not allowed. Sites are non-transferable.
Nickerson Park Campground is absolved of all liability for anyone infected with coronavirus during their stay. By staying at Nickerson Park Campground, you voluntarily assume all risks related to exposure to COVID-19. We will take all measures necessary to keep our property as safe and comfortable as possible for our guests amid the coronavirus pandemic, but please understand that there is a shared responsibility between guests and Nickerson Park Campground. We reserve the right to re-assign campsites if necessary.

rebook policy
Rebook your reservation for next year before campsites are made available to others! You have 14 days to guarantee your same reservation for the following year. We accept new reservations 50 weeks prior to arrival date. A minimum of a one nights deposit is required to secure your advance reservation. We will call you in the spring for payment in full.
Although we expect to provide the same campsite you reserved this year, we do reserve the right to reassign campsites if necessary.
pet policy
They’re part of the family so bring ’em if you got ’em!
We ask that you extend every courtesy to those families camping without pets and be sure to keep your pets on a leash, pick up after them and please do not leave them unattended. No temporary fencing of any kind, invisible fencing or cages are allowed. The pet must be on a leash and under your control at all times.
Pets must not present a hazard or nuisance to others. Proof of rabies vaccination should be provided upon request.
Our dog park on the 500 level is there to allow your dogs the freedom to run and play! All dogs must be attended by their humans in the dog park.
Doggie Poo is to be deposited in the appropriate garbage receptacles that are located throughout the campground. Doggie Pot Stations (with doggie bags) are located at the dog park and by the 300 level.

quiet hours
Quiet hours are from 11PM – 8AM. Radios and outside TV’s are to be turned off during quiet hours. Generators are not allowed at any time. All children, under 18, must be at their campsite during quiet hours.
motorized vehicles
Vehicle speed limit is 5MPH. Vehicle registration tags must be hung on mirrors at all times with the site number facing out. Speed limit is strictly enforced and you may be asked to park your car up top and walk if you do not abide.
Only licensed drivers may operate vehicles. Vehicles must be properly registered and insured.
Mopeds, Motorbikes, ATVs, UTV’s, and Personal Golf Carts are not permitted to be operated in the campground.
Licensed motorcycles may be used to enter and exit the campground. No cruising.
bikes & other wheels
Biking and riding activities are allowed from dawn to dusk only! Absolutely No bicycle riding when it starts to get dark. State Law requires helmets be worn by all children age 14 and under.
Bicycle, rollerblade, skateboard and scooter use in the pavilion and other buildings is prohibited.
For your own safety, all motorized scooters, hoverboards, etc. must stay on the level your campsite is on.
grounds usage/maintenance
Respect your fellow campers. Excessive noise, loud music, or foul behavior will not be tolerated. Generators are not allowed to be used in the park.
Privacy of other campsites is to be respected. Do not walk through other sites, vacant or occupied.
Campsites shall maintain a clean appearance and be kept in a sanitary and safe condition. Be considerate to future guests by cleaning up all debris, bottle caps, cigarette butts, etc., before departure.
Do not attach wire, rope, chains, nails, etc., around or in trees. Hammocks must have their own stand.
Cutting or damaging any tree or shrub (living or dead) is not allowed. Violation will result in an arrest and fine.
cancellation policy
Cancellations are unfortunate for both parties, so we have designed our policy to be as fair as possible for both. Sites are non-transferable.
For Campsites, Rental RV’s and Golf Carts: You must cancel 14 days or more prior to your arrival to receive a refund, less the $25 cancellation fee. If you cancel or no show the day of your arrival, you forfeit the entire amount that has been paid.
For any Holiday Reservations: There is no Refund for Holiday Reservations.
Monthly Campsite Reservations: You must cancel 30 days prior to your arrival to receive a refund, less the $25 cancellation fee.
If you cancel or no show the day of your arrival, you forfeit the entire amount that has been paid. If you leave earlier than your departure date that you confirm upon arrival, there are no refunds.
visitors
Visitors are allowed while you are camping with us but please let them know that there is a per person visiting fee.
Many visitors are not campers themselves and would not anticipate this. Explain that this fee gives your visitor full use of all facilities while here in the campground.
Day visitors may check in at the Store between 9AM and 7:30pm. The fee is $10 per person. If your visitor leaves the property by 8:00pm they will receive a $5 refund per person. All Visitors must vacate the property by 8PM.
under 18
Parents are responsible for their children’s conduct and are accountable for any damage caused.
Children under age 18 must be at their campsite during quiet hours.
Children under 18 years of age may not be left alone in the campground at any time. Adult Supervision is required.
fires & fire wood
Campfires are permitted and must be attended to at all times. Flames should not exceed two (2) feet in height.
Carried in firewood needs to comply with NYS DEC regulations.
Firewood cannot be transported from another state or further than 50 miles from its source within New York State. Guests cannot bring firewood from quarantined counties into the campground. We have firewood for sale here at the campground.
We hope you appreciate and support the effort to protect our trees from the invasive insects being transported through firewood.
Cutting or damaging any tree or shrub (living or dead) is not allowed. Violation will result in an arrest and fine. Chainsaw use and gathering of firewood is prohibited.
garbage
Garbage is to be contained in trash bags and placed along the roadside from 9AM – 7:00PM.
Local Law requires all cans and glass bottles be washed and placed in separate bags.
Help reduce waste by burning newspapers, boxes and other paper products.
creek usage
Our guests are welcome to use the creek for swimming, fishing, or floating in tubes. The land on the opposite side of the creek is private property. That means… NO TRESPASSING. Jumping into the water from rocks, ledges, or cliffs is prohibited.
Creekside activity is at your own risk.
unwelcome items
Absolutely NO generators, fireworks, firearms, air guns, paintball guns, sling shots, or archery use in the campground.
water usage
Cars and trailers may not be washed on premises. Water sprinkler and baby pool use is not permitted.
RV dishwashers and washing machines cannot be used in campsites.
Dishes, cooking pots, etc., are to be washed indoors, not at the outside spigots.
note:
Our Guidelines are not subject to your interpretation. If you find yourself coming up with a loophole it is better to ask now rather than be removed from the campground later.
Camping is an outdoor experience. We are not responsible for the discomforts of nature due to weather, insects, animals or disease. We are not responsible for fire, thefts, water damage, or acts of nature causing damage to campers or their property. We are not liable for personal injuries that occur upon the premises. Camping has many hazards and risks that can not be eliminated in the natural environment. No refunds will be given.

Most frequent questions and answers
There is a fire ring and picnic table on every site. Depending upon your selection hookups, cable, water, electricity, or sewer connections may be included.
We offer a 2 Person Rate and a Family Rate. The maximum number of adults per site is 4.
Family Rates are for one Family Unit. A family unit includes a couple and their dependent children (under 18) only.
Additional adults (up to 2) and children may stay within your camping unit for the overnight visitor fee. Maximum number of people allowed on your campsite would be 8.
One camping unit is allowed per site however, we do allow an additional tent to be set up on your site for the children included in reservation.
Definitely, every effort will be made to accommodate site requests, but if it is not available, you may have to choose another site.
Yes. When in the campground, practice safe riding and be courteous of others…and remember, no riding after dark! Also, New York State Law requires helmets be worn by all riders age 14 and under.
Free WiFi can be found at the camp store area. Pay per use Wi-Fi provided by an outside company may be available at your campsite however, we do not guarantee service in all areas.
This provider does allow a free 15 minute sign on per day.
For those traveling with a satellite dish, please keep in mind that we have many trees here in the mountains, so satellite service may be limited.
Our sites vary in size but most can accommodate the largest manufactured coaches and RVs. We offer sites equipped with cable, water, electric (20/30/50 amp), and/or sewer.
We are part of the Long Path Hiking Trail. The segment that runs through our campground leaves the campground at site 615 and is 2.2 miles to Mine Kill Falls.
Yes! The strongest signal will be with Verizon Wireless. Other providers may work but we are told “hit or miss” by our guests.
Absolutely, our guests enjoy swimming, fishing, or floating in tubes on the creek. Jumping into the water from rocks, ledges, or cliffs is prohibited.

We use MTC as our cable provider. We have over 80 channels available to you depending on your equipment. Some of the channels are only offered in digital format. Please note if you are in an RV that has a TV with both Cable and Satellite Settings available you will need to change the settings to Cable and run a Channel search.
